Patty Seegars Bellus is a native of Camden. She attended Converse College,  where she earned her Bachelor's of Music in piano performance, Baylor University, for her Master of Music in church music, and Texas Woman’s University, Master of Library Science.

Widowed to Ben Bellus; 3 step children, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grands.

Worked at Baylor University, the Public Library of Des Moines, Meredith Corporation (Des Moines).

Lived in Waco, Texas then Des Moines, Iowa.

Returned to Camden in 2022. Lives on land once owned by Seegars' grandparents, then Mom & Dad. Mom lives on the other side of the creek.
