William Smith, a long time United Methodist, and a recent graduate of Duke Divinity School. Before attending Duke Divinity School, William traveled the United States and Canada as a rodeo cowboy. William realized his call to ministry while attending Missouri Valley College where he earned a BA in Religion and Philosophy. William is from Lugoff, SC where his parents Lynn and Billy Smith still live.
As a Kershaw County native, William is thrilled to return home to serve his community. William is passionate about people. He looks forward to becoming involved in the community and empowering members of the congregation to do the same. William is also passionate about sharing the love of God. He looks forward to doing this through his sermons, bible studies and small groups. He envisions the church as part of the community and the community as a part of the church. In his off time, William can be found in nature, reading a good book or watching a number of different sports, while hanging out with friends and family.
